My best friend got engaged today, which is weird because it makes me feel like we aren’t kids anymore (ok, I guess we aren’t), but I’m SOOOOOOOO happy she’s found a really fantastic guy. Congrats Emma Anne and Tyler!

I cried a lot today. Like, a lot a lot. Today I have found myself feeling more unsettled than ever. I’m don’t know what I thought my life would be like at 23, but I’m pretty sure this isn’t it. I’ve got to get out of this funk. I don’t know what it’s going to take, but something’s gotta change and soon.
Thank you for the birthday phone calls, texts, tweets, and wall posts. I am blessed, that much I do know.

Last year I was kidding when I said I wanted to skip my birthday. This year I’m 100% serious. There’s just too much going on. This year has been rough, to say the least. I have a very uncertain future- I’ll soon be out of school and out of a job. One of the most important people in my life isn’t here to celebrate with me anymore. I don’t know where my place in the world is. I’m not looking forward to 23.
